Stella Attar is a published Top 10 topline writer and vocalist. With an ear for a hit, she has cowritten with producers for artists and self-featured projects. Stella is also a voice over artist for various brands and a singing voice over director for animations with clients including Netflix and Dreamworks.

Stella’s songwriting spans the genres of pop and dance.  Her latest release is the single ‘Heartbreak In This City’, the fourth release from the Steps album ‘What the Future Holds’, co-written with pop producer Karl Twigg (Westlife). The album was released Nov 2020 going straight in at no.1 on the iTunes album chart and no.2 in the official UK album chart. Heartbreak In This City was released with a glittering remix collaboration with Drag Race star judge Michelle Visage, hitting the iTunes chart at no.1 on its day of release.

Stella wrote and features on drum and bass producer Logistics album ‘Electric Sun’ on Hospital Records, released 2016. The uplifting, feel good Take Me To Another World was the first single off the album. With an exclusive drop from Annie Mac, it was picked up for the BBC1Xtra play list with support from Trevor Nelson.

Writing the topline for Ray Foxx ft Lovelle ‘La Musica’ (The Trumpeter) released on Defected, in early 2012. It was a hit across all territories with 2 million hits on You Tube. La Musica was the sound of the summer and was nominated for the ‘Best House/Garage/Deep House Track’ for the 27th Annual International Dance Music Awards at the Winter Music Conference in Miami.

Cowriting with Will Simms for K-pop artist BoA (SM Entertainment) for her new track Lookin‘ ft The Quiett. The song was released in support of Hyundai’s ad campaign in 2012 for their ‘Premium Younique Lifesyle’ line of cars as well as being released for download on iTunes.

Stella wrote and featured on the Dabruck & Klein single ‘Heartbeat’ released on Armada in 2011 with over 1 million hits on You Tube.  The follow-up ‘Light Comin Out Of Your Eyes’ was the only original song on their D&K remix project ‘Hands on Armada’, with the massive Falko Niestolik & Steve Wish Festival Mix receiving huge support from Paul Van Dyk at Tomorrowland (watch from 10.15)

Stella wrote and performed with the live dance act Freaks for many years. Writing with DJ producers Luke Solomon and Justin Harris, she co-wrote their massive UK hit ‘Creeps Get on the Dancefloor’. Released on Ministry of Sound’s Data Records in 2007, it reached no.9 in the official singles charts, no.1 in the iTunes dance chart, and has over 3 million hits on You Tube.  The track was A playlisted on BBC Radio 1 and was Jo Wiley’s Record of the Week. In 2014 Freaks released Psych on Rebirth which featured two cowrites with Stella ‘We Move‘ and ‘Black Shoes White Socks‘ also released on Hot Creations. Earlier Freaks released the album The Man Who Lived Underground (2003) with underground hits Creeps (You’re Giving Me), Where Were You When the Lights Went Out and The Rain.

Other collaborations include; Producer Jason Boshoff on various pitch and library projects and studio project Fear of Fun. DJ and producer Michael Gray (The Weekend) cowriting Chasing Shadows’ ft Danielle Senior and his Opus Black project ‘Feels Like Home’. DJ and producer Rob Mello’s ‘Critical‘, released on Luke Solomon and Derrick Carter’s label Classic Recordings. DJ and producer Rob Roar, ‘Rockerfella’ released on Phonetic Recordings. Cowriter and vocalist on Sunscape ‘I’m Somebody‘ released on Hed Kandi. And cowriting with composer Magnus Fiennes, for BBC’s kids animation Freefonix and the Freefonix album.
